TQI Solutions is currently seeking a System Administrator II ready to join our IT support services team.  This position will provide support to our client located in Norfolk, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows Server 2012/2016.
• Manage access, roles and NTFS permissions on network shares.
• Troubleshoot the Active Directory domain including DHCP, DNS, and clustered applications
• Analyze system and application performance and make recommendations.
• Maintain and backup configurations/data for physical/virtual servers.
• Support planning and design changes to the Windows environment.
• Use Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to build and manage Windows 10 deployments.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Eight (8) years of related Windows Server administration experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years job-related experience administering Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016.
• Experience in the administration of Windows Server Operating Systems including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), SCCM, DHCP, and DNS.
• Experience in the vulnerability management and remediation of Windows Server Operating Systems, and the implementation of DISA STIGs.
• Experience with physical or virtual Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Experience with backing up Windows desktops and servers.
• Effective teamwork, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

REQUIRED:

• CompTIA Security+ OR GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) OR Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification (or higher-level certification) OR Bachelor's Degree (or higher-level degree) from an accredited University in the field of Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity required.

AND

• Operating System/Computing Environment (OS/CE) certification. Examples include: CompTIA A+ OR Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) OR Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) OR Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification (or higher-level certification).

(Up to two (2) years of job-related experience may be substituted for each year of IT/Cyber related college completed or for each current certification held.)

DESIRED:

1. Prior experience working in a fast paced Government program preferably supporting a Naval logistics command or repair activity
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
3. Action oriented, with the ability to identify, articulate, and implement opportunities
