SQL DATABASE DEVELOPER/ADMINISTRATOR 

TQI Solutions has an immediate need for an experienced Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server Database Developer/Administrator at Norfolk, VA. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity that will assist in data modeling, data integration, and developing scripts for long term optimization. Knowledge of data structures, database design and data modeling is required.  Data modeling will include both physical and logical models to assist in performance and structural recommendation for long term enhancements.  Excellent written and oral skills for presentations and reports to better describe the findings from the data modeling analysis.  This position requires an active Secret (S) clearance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / DESCRIPTION:

• Programming and scripting using SQL tools
• Typical Database Administration Duties
• Responsible for building new databases from previous export.
• Analyzing Databases and building both logical and physical model.
• Working with the client and other team members to better understand current application requirements so that databases usage can be fully understood.
• Developing new structures to enhance current functionality.
• Document Entire Database Model including detailing relationships, integration points with other applications, and interface requirements.
• Building Presentation and Document Findings.
• Provide subject matter expertise as a key member of the database development team working on a Government Program that bases the entire architecture on a central enterprise wide implementation of databases.
• Manage and maintain database backups, define and control database replication needs, and develop database triggers and associated procedures, as directed.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or 7+ years of work/military experience and technical training.
• Candidate must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL, ORACLE, Sybase databases.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification. I.e. CompTIA Security+.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager within 6 months of employment.
• Strong experience with Oracle, SYBASE and SQL Server RDBMS.
• Proficient in SQL, SSIS, PL/SQL and TSQL, Database Performance Tuning and Query Tuning, Backup & Recovery concepts.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

CND-IS certification (CEH, CSA+, GICSP, or SSCP)
