The current focus is delivering electronic monitoring products and services for the global criminal justice market

    This role is a member of the Technical Operations team and the Manufacturing Technician will report to the Director of Supply Chain. This individual will be versatile, self-motivated and perform Manufacturing Test and Repair support functions. This position is based out of our Naperville, IL office and will require majority of time to be spent at our fulfillment center located in Glendale Heights, IL.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement production functional and bench test systems.
    • Assemble, repair, and maintain custom-built electronics test fixtures and equipment
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs.
    • Troubleshoot circuit problems down to the component level.
    • Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on test equipment to maintain production up-time.
    • Various documentation activities as required.
    • 5+ years’ experience as a Manufacturing Test Technician, Production Technician or similar role.
    • Ability to read electronic schematics.
    • Ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits and do root cause analyses reports.
    • Strong hand skills, soldering skills, and attention to detail.
    • Comfortable using DMMs, microscopes, oscilloscopes, and various other test equipment.
    • Strong computer skills and MS Office skills with knowledge and experience with document control and configuration management practices a plus.
    • Must have the ability to learn quickly and diagnose issues that might affect quality.
    • Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills with strong self-initiative.
    • Works well in a fast-paced team environment.
    • Mechanical knowledge a plus.
    • Must pass a basic electronics and applied confirmation soldering skills test.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ambitious and serious – self-starter with minimum supervision.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. College degree preferred but not required.
    • Deploy test systems domestically or globally when required.

    EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    ·        Assist repair technicians on complex troubleshooting issues.

    ·        Maintain updated test equipment drawings and documentation.

    ·        Collaborate with Supply Chain Logistics to perform failure analysis trends on RMA devices.

    ·        Work with Design Engineering to complete a device test strategy.
