    Job Description

    TRAKAmerica is a national outsourcing provider managing over $15 billion in assets for its clients. As we continue to expand our infrastructure, we currently have an immediate opening for a FIELD AUDITOR that will join our existing team which oversees a rigorous suppler oversight program. This position will fill a role critical to maintaining our reputation as a strategic leader in compliance and oversight, and will be located in Richmond, VA. This position is classified as exempt under the FLSA and will not earn over-time for any hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given work week

    TRAKAmerica’s Audit and Compliance team is a market leader in providing oversight, guidance and leadership to a large supply chain of collection agencies and law firms across the United States. The program provides in-depth assessments of a supplier’s adherence to key objectives including consumer contact, litigation management, supply chain management, financial stability and performance.

    As part of TRAKAmerica’s commitment to continuous improvement, a role has opened up for a candidate with a strong background in both knowledge of civil law and procedures, and the ability to research and assess applicable consumer protection laws. The role will also encompass the litigation management component of the company’s process to assess a law firm’s compliance with applicable laws. The successful candidate for the role will be able to assist in the development and fully execute the new assessments.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Understand applicable laws governing collection procedures and civil litigation process:

    • Analyze, assess and understand the effects of new laws and procedures on the civil litigation process
    • Effectively communicate civil procedures and critical changes in the law to suppliers and clients
    • Perform on-site assessments of law firms, managing the assessment from inception through completed remediation
    • Manage deadline-driven, client directed projects to assess law firm with applicable laws and client requirements
    • Assist in the general functions of the audit and legal groups
    • Oversee and continually enhance the Litigation Management component of the TRAKAmerica Assessment Program
    • 35% travel requirement to perform onsite audits

    • Strong computers skills using Office 7, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. PowerPoint skills are a plus.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Four-year undergraduate in business, accounting or finance preferred
    • One to two years related experience and/or training a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    OTHER PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Knowledge and the ability to apply applicable laws, i.e., FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, GLBA, ECOA, etc.
    • Experience leading or performing as an auditor in a business with consumer contact
    • Background or experience in formalized process management
