DESCRIPTION: The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Communications Director, along with assuming other duties that support the administrative functions of the department.

HAND (EXPECTATION + DUTIES):
- Provide Administrative Support
- Support Communications Director in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy and systems for the Communications department
- Organize daily activities and ensure that schedules and objectives are met within the team
- Work with internal departments to manage communication needs and timelines for project completion.
- Aid in the supervision and execution of all special projects
- Assist the Communications Director in budgeting, operating costs, and resources for the team
- Oversee volunteer care for the Communications Department Team
- Work with the other Coordinators to help develop systems and processes for onboarding new volunteers
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
- Responsible for creating and editing company-wide communications and other copy-related materials
- Collaborate cross-divisionally and cross-departmentally
- Calendar management of the department director
- Create systems for communication, collaboration, and operations
- Manage communication with and from the department director
- Assist in meeting preparation (documents, handouts, reports, meals, and reminders)
- Accompany department directors to meetings when requested
- Data gather, and researcher
- Expense report management for the department director
- All other duties as assigned
HEAD: (KNOWLEDGE + TRAINING)
- Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field or 3 - 5 years of experience working as a coordinator, project manager, communications assistant, or other related position.
