    JOB PURPOSE

    The Kofax Marketing Operations team plays a pivotal role in realizing Kofax’s Marketing strategy through the management of key business initiatives, systems and data and providing operational services to our key stakeholders across Marketing and Kofax.

    The Director’s purpose is to maximize the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Global Marketing team through the right combination of systems, data, people and processes. The Director analyzes the operational environment, delivers key insights and recommendations to the Marketing Leadership team, and implements optimizations that will lead to the achievement of the department’s goals.  His / her team manages the day-to-day campaigns, functions, and applications for the Marketing team at large.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • FUNCTIONAL ROLE: The Director and his / her global team manage marketing automation systems (e.g., Eloqua, 6Sense, Conversica, SalesLoft and SFDC) for the purpose of generating, distributing, and reporting on leads. He / She establishes and maintains scalable processes within the team that guarantee best practices in lead and campaign management. He / She also maintains campaign plans to facilitate easy reporting on program and campaign effectiveness. Finally, he / she monitors and maintains data quality in the marketing database, appending data as necessary.
    • LEADERSHIP / SUPERVISION: One of the most prominent roles of the Director is to provide leadership to the Marketing Operations team. He / she leads the planning, budgeting, and forecasting for Marketing Operations and drives key team initiatives. The Director also plays a mentorship role, guiding his team in the execution of their duties when necessary, ensuring constant honing of their skills, performing performance appraisal for outstanding performers, and readying them for future roles.
    • STRATEGY/OPPORTUNITY: The Director of Marketing Operations, in conjunction with other leaders in Marketing, lead the department in driving strong marketing strategies, processes and initiatives that support exceptional lead management and sales enablement. He / She drives marketing database strategies, where he / she analyzes gaps in the business’s data, consumer acquisition strategies, and data quality practices. He / She keeps an eye out in the market for new practices and technologies that will improve and optimize Marketing’s performance and gives the business a competitive edge over other players in the market.
    • ANALYTICS: The Director facilitates a data-centric culture that is insight driven. The Director analyzes marketing and sales data, develops insights, and presents recommendations to the Marketing Leadership team on areas for improvement and optimization. Working with the IT and Analytics teams in Marketing and Sales, he / she provides consistent and timely results of marketing campaigns, and aids in the analysis and effectiveness of marketing campaigns and campaign ROI.
    • COLLABORATION: The role of the Director of Marketing Operations is highly collaborative, and as such, the Director works closely with Sales Operations in activities regarding the flow of leads from Marketing to Sales. The Director similarly works closely with the IT department and Analytics teams in conducting data analyses, data acquisition, database management, and marketing automation. He / she also works closely with Marketing Leadership and key stakeholders in formulating and approving various marketing strategies, approaches, and campaigns prior to their launch.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

    • Must be a results-driven individual with exceptional analytical skills in quantitative data analysis of program effectiveness, forecasting, and ROI. The director must also have analytical skills and mastery in the translation and reporting of data analyses. 
    • Must possess excellent communication skills both in verbal and in written form and be able to present to medium-large size (50+ attendees) and/or executive-level audience.  
    • Must be highly skilled in marketing automation systems such as Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot, 6Sense, SFDC, SalesLoft, Conversica and TechTarget, etc. and have the capacity to integrate those systems with marketing technologies. 
    • Must be willing to lead change across global teams and inspire new behaviors among team members and stakeholders alike. 
    • Must understand the Business to Business and multi-tiered distribution environment (channel partners and distribution as well as end customer selling). 
    • Must be able to ramp up and process information in a fast-paced environment

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS: 

    • Experience in Professional Services, consulting with external customers 
    • Go-to-Market and Marketing Project and Program experience. This includes project skills from concept to market (from business case to selling motion to sunset activities), early funnel / pipeline process / systems, etc. 
    • Experience with Asana, Sharepoint, Office 365, MS Teams, and other business productivity tools.   
    • Experience in Product Management or Product Marketing, or with Sirius Decisions Product Management framework; alternatively, experience in Order to Cash operations or IT, interacting with Product teams
