SBP is a preeminent, independent biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding human biology and disease, and advancing scientific discoveries to profoundly impact human health. For over 40 years, our research has produced breakthroughs in cancer, neuroscience, immunology and children’s diseases, and is anchored by our NCI-designated cancer center and advanced drug discovery capabilities.
The Chanda lab is interested in unraveling the molecular bases for these complex host-pathogen interactions, which will not only provide insight into viral pathogenesis, but key regulators of inflammation and innate immunity in cancer.
Multiple POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS IN SYSTEMS IMMUNOLOGY are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Sumit K. Chanda (La Jolla, CA). Positions will focus on generating both systems-level and mechanistic understanding of autoimmune and inflammatory disease, particularly in the areas of T cell biology and fibrosis. Studies will place an emphasis on translating basic research discoveries into pre-clinical concepts as part of corporate sponsored drug discovery and early target identification programs. Prospective candidates will play an important role in elucidating novel factors involved in regulation of immune responses, and understanding their therapeutic implications for inflammation, autoimmunity, infectious disease, fibrosis and cancer.
TO APPLY: Interested candidates should apply online to the SBP career site by submitting one PDF document with a cover letter, CV, references, a brief description of their research interests, and the names of three references.
