    _Sanford Burnham Prebys is a preeminent, independent biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding human biology and disease, and advancing scientific discoveries to profoundly impact human health. _ 

    A POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Linda Bradley for studies on the regulation of T cell differentiation and responses in the settings of acute and chronic virus infections and cancer. The laboratory studies adaptive and innate immune mechanisms that act as checkpoint regulators of T cell immune responses using murine models as well as clinical translation in in studies of cancer immunotherapy. 

    The Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute is located on the Torrey Pines Mesa in La Jolla in close proximity to several research institutes and the UCSD Moore’s Cancer Center where the Bradley Laboratory has ongoing collaborations.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Perform experimental approaches to study T-cell functions using in vivo models
    • Independently design and execute experiments
    • Analyze and interpret data 
    • Work in collaboration with other team members and external collaborations
    • Contribute to publications

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Ph.D. degree in Science is required
    • Doctoral degree in immunology with expertise in T cell immunology and in experimental approaches to study T cell functions using in vivo models is preferred
    • A strong publication record is preferred
    • Eligibility to apply for fellowship support is required
