    JOB SUMMARY

    This position builds and maintains ongoing client relationships in order to create demand for the Company’s products and services and generates new revenue opportunities across the global organization. It coordinates strategies and efforts on behalf of clients to expand the relationship, improve overall profitability, and ensure retention and satisfaction. This position works closely with pricing, operations, relationship management, and technology associates across the enterprise to determine the best solutions for clients through existing and future products and services. it cultivates and develops lasting client relations and demonstrates a solid understanding of the business, financials, products/services, the market, and the needs of clients.

    Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Leads projects with moderate scope, risks, and resource requirements. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Develops and manages operational initiatives to deliver tactical results.

     

    JOB DUTIES

    • Maintains direct channel of communication with other KCS departments to ensure marketing and sales plans and goals are aligned with other departments.
    • Manages customer relationships by actively creating solutions to best meet their business needs.
    • Serves as the main contact for assigned customers.
    • Establishes strategy for markets for which they are responsible; Develops account strategies and plans.
    • Plans and owns oversight and analysis of revenue and contributions; forecasts and determines market outlook for area of responsibility.
    • Works to optimize market share and total contribution.
    • Handles all business development activities within business unit.
    • Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

     

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study.
    • Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proefficient in English and Spanish.

     

     

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
    • KCS network experience, specifically in sales, marketing, customer relations, rail or logistics.

    3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems and resolve machine production issues in a timely manner. Diagnoses problems with production equipment and calibrates or repairs so as to return equipment to proper functioning state. Performs planned maintenance on production equipment and building. Works overtime and weekends as needed to finish work within time deadlines. Reports issues relating to proper function of production equipment to supervisor. Reads and interprets mechanical/electrical blueprints and drawings to aid in repair of equipment. Works safely around mechanical and electrical systems to avoid injury.

    Ability to work in a team environment required.
