    Kinecta Federal Credit Union is currently looking for a LOAN PROCESSOR (MORTGAGE). The Loan Processor is responsible for the following;

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follows loan processing methods established for adherence to the Credit Union’s policies, procedures and documentation requirements.
    • Reviews and comprehends, Loan Policy & Procedure Manual, in addition to Compliance requirements/deadlines.
    • Acts as liaison with members, real estate agents/brokers, builders/developers, title companies, loan counselor/underwriters and co-workers to facilitate a prompt, efficient closing of each loan.
    • Reviews Credit Reports, Preliminary Title Reports, Appraisals and Escrow Instructions for accuracy upon receipt.
    • Collects and verifies all required verifications to complete loan file, such as Employment and/or Assets
    • Reviews documentation to see if it corresponds correctly with loan applicant’s requirements, clears conditions within Authority parameters and/or prior to submitting for underwriting review
    • Verifies and consistently updates information on Loan Origination System to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Updates Desktop Underwriting within approval authority and reviews against previous findings
    • Manages individual pipeline to ensure SLAs are adhered to
    • Meets regulatory documentation and timing requirements

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

        

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • KNOWLEDGE OF FNMA AND FHLMC UNDERWRITING and secondary marketing guidelines
    • Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance guidelines
    • General knowledge of loan processing and closing guidelines
    • Knowledge of Kinecta’s internal policies and programs
    • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    Potential candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:

    • High School graduation or equivalent
    • 2 – 3 related years of experience
