The lead counselor has the responsibility for all administrative matters related to program operations. The lead counselor will collaborate with upper management on program development and implementation. The lead counselor will have oversight of the Counselors.Position QualificationsLead Counselor shall have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, and 3 years in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a mental health setting. Lead Counselor must have knowledge of DBHDS, Human Rights and Medicaid standards and must meet at least QMHP status, as established by state regulations. Lead Counselor will be CPR and First Aid certified. In addition, the position requires 2 to 3 years of behavior management/modification experience, office 365 experience and must pass criminal history and central registry background investigations. Lead Counselor must have good time management skills.
