JOB TITLE: Front Desk/Customer Service Assistant, Work-Study

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- First line of interaction with students, staff, faculty and other constituents for the AASC; as well as the office of the Dean of Student Development & Retention and the KEYS Scholarship Program.
- Scheduling appointments for Academic Advisors and managing all related inquiries.
- Serving as a referral source regarding CCD information, data entry and answering a multi-line phone system per assigned shifts.
- Greet current and perspective students, faculty, and staff at the front desk counter as the first line of interaction.
- Answer advising and steps to enrollment related inquires while upholding the highest level of customer service.
- Schedule and manage Advisor appointments using Navigate.
- Accurate data entry, record analysis using Banner and use of Navigate.
- Communicate with students advising requirements, how the advising model works, and other advising information.
- Provide accurate information regarding the Student Development and Retention office, the Academic Advising & Student Success Center, and the KEYS Program.
- Answer all Calls coming into the AASSC phone lines maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Assist with various AASSC projects, including but not limited to: call campaigns, data tracking, scanning forms, mass mailings, records update/correction, data entry, in a timely manner with high accuracy.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a current student of the Community College of Denver, taking at least six hours of credit and awarded work-study funds.
- Maintain minimum GPA of 2.5
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good written and communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Fast learner and ability to retain information
- Ability to work with self-initiative and accuracy
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast pace environment
- Proficient computer knowledge
- Microsoft Office proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in customer service setting - 1 year minimum
- Administrative office setting and skills
TIME COMMITMENT
Up to 20 hours a week (may not exceed 20 hours per week)
