- Responsible for ALL site activities. The core function of this position is to directly manage the operations of the assigned location.
- Works under the direction of the Production Manager
- Responsible for the Health and Welfare of all personnel in the plant area and ensuring the site meets or exceeds MSHA Standards
- Responsible for the administration of the Summit Safety Principles
- Responsible for obtaining the maximum production at the plant and minimizing downtime
- Ensures that quality products are being produced within internal and external specifications
- Responsible to manage and control costs of the operation
- Compiles all data so that timecards, maintenance logs, production logs, etc., are completed
- Implement the Plant Maintenance Program
- Daily Uptime Schedule
- Parts requisitions
- Maintains and manages relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Sets the example for good leadership. Be an active member of a management team that is driven and motivated to excel.
- Responsible to motivate and effectively accomplish tasks through delegation to others. High level of interpersonal skills is essential.
- Responsible to develop and oversee budgeting process and financial performance
- Ability to perform job responsibilities without direct and constant supervision

Experience Required
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in an asphalt production environment or educational equivalent or a combination of the training/education and work experience
- Thorough understanding of asphalt production and MSHA standards
