    Position: Communications Coordinator

    Reports To: Communications Manager

    Location: Centre City Tower, Suite 2400, 650 Smithfield Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Salary range begins at: $40,000/year

    SUMMARY

    The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in external communications, mainly centered on Partner4Work’s social media channels and digital media. The Communications Coordinator is engaged in all facets of Partner4Work and its programs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    SOCIAL MEDIA:

    Oversee and support all social media channels of Partner4Work and support P4W’s communications strategy:

    • Gather, organize and schedule content to be dispersed on Partner4Work and related social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and any new/emerging social media platforms on a need basis;

    • Attend events to capture context, photographs, and videos for social media channels;

    • Write and edit compelling social media content with the purpose of engaging Partner4Work’s online communities;

    • Monitor and participate in online conversations on behalf of the networks to increase outreach and visibility;

    • Develop inter-departmental relationships and collaborate with department team members to share assets (e.g. content, images, video) in a timely manner to maintain effective social media coverage;

    • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results;

    • Create compelling content for P4W website through effective and creative written and visual storytelling;

    • Assist in website analytic tracking; and

    • Monitor and report on new social and digital platforms.

    P4W AMBASSADOR:

    • Contribute to the development of a supportive and collaborative work environment through active participation in internal collaborations, team, and activities; and

    • Provide a high level of customer service for existing and prospective program partners through transparent, accessible, and open dialogue about the organization’s strategy and prospective projects

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in a field related to marketing, communications and 1-2 years of related experience in marketing, communications, social media coordination; video-editing skills is a plus. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Excellent familiarity with social media platforms with demonstrated creativity and efficacy;

    • Strong knowledge of social media scheduling tools (Hootsuite, PostPlanner, Buffer, etc.) and social media analytics;

    • Understanding of SEO and competency in analyzing web traffic metrics;

    • Excellent in sourcing and managing content;

    • Familiarity with graphic design programs (Canva and/or Adobe preferred);

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint;

    • Excellent writing and communication skills;

    • Multitasking skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and team members;

    • Ability to travel and attend events occurring after office hours (8am-5pm).
