PURCHASING AGENT

TSI Commercial Floor Covering is a family owned business of over 50 years with offices in Champaign and Chicago, Illinois,  Dallas and Houston, Texas, and Miami, FL. We provide top quality commercial flooring to commercial sectors and we’re looking for a Full-Time Purchasing Agent.

In order to succeed in this position, you must be a self-starter and able to take initiative. The ability to solve problems, meet deadlines, and understand priorities is a must.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in purchasing or ordering
• Experience in construction industry

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent presentation in both verbal and written communication
• Professional and proactive communication internally and externally
• A high level of professionalism and integrity
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Order construction materials for commercial flooring and roofing companies.  Including internal office and stock orders.
• Create purchase orders
• Secure Pricing
• Obtain ETA information
• Track Orders
• Manage Product Submittals for Construction Products, including LEED
