Who are we looking for?

We have a strong pipeline of exciting and career-enhancing full-time and part-time assignments across the Biotech, Marketing, Fintech, Consumer Goods, Pharma and Technology sectors, and we're interested in hearing from Legal Administrative Assistants to join us and commence their LOD journey.

A highly regarded law firm in Washington, D.C. is currently seeking skilled applicants for their opening as a Legal Administrative Assistant. This is a temp-to-perm position based out of the firm's D.C. office. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in a law firm and familiarity with Aderant & Chrome River.

• TTP - anticipated contract duration of 6 months with a potential permanent conversion
• Contract pay starting at $27/hour
• Hybrid in Washington, D.C. -- Hours are 9:00 - 5:30
• Must be familiar with Aderant & Chrome River
• Open to full-time and part-time candidates

Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities:

• Answer multiple phone lines; screen and direct calls them as appropriate
• Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange conference/teleconference calls
• Make arrangements for travel, transportation and accommodations via Internet and/or through the Firm’s travel department
• Process expenses through Firm expense application (Chrome River & Aderant)
• Utilize various office machines to transmit data, print, duplicate, fax and PDF
• Create and maintain attorney files using alphanumeric systems
• Coordinate with Conference Services when scheduling meetings for room reservations, food/beverages and audio/visual equipment needs
• Prepare and process client bills, working closely with Billing department
• Create, revise and proofread letters and various legal documents
• Provide backup coverage for other assistants and receptionists
• Perform other duties as assigned

To join us, you will:

• Have at least two years of prior administrative experience in a law firm environment
• Possess a strong background utilizing both Aderant & Chrome River
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Possess strong attention to detail
• Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Have the ability to organize, prioritize, plan, and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment

Lawyers On Demand/Consilio offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate’s general skill set, the applicability of candidate's skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
