    Job Description

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) is seeking highly motivated Cybersecurity Engineers to support Navy systems. In this role you will have the opportunity to grow your Cybersecurity skills as part of our energetic and expanding team, and directly support the Department of Defense (DoD). We are seeking engineers to add to our team to perform the full range of Information Systems Security activities including the automation of selected functions using scripting.

    AS PART OF OUR TEAM, ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS YOU WILL BE:

    • Conducting vulnerability scans and recognizing vulnerabilities in systems.
    • Installing, hardening, operating and testing systems.
    • Performing software and hardware upgrades, patches, and application updates to all information technology equipment, systems and applications.
    • Utilizing network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles.
    • Applying configuration standards to meet cybersecurity requirements.
    • Administering computer systems in support of meeting Cybersecurity requirements.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor degree from accredited university in the area of Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
    • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
    • Eligible for a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
    • Must pass Pre-Employment Drug Test.
    • Proficiency in technical writing and oral communications skills.
    • Ability to work with and communicate with project team members and customer representatives.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    In addition to the required skills, the ideal candidate may have one or more of the following:

    • Knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripts, Powershell, Bash, Perl, Java, and SQL.
    • Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or SELinux or CentOS) Certificate.
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (and newer) and Microsoft Windows 7 (and newer) Certificate.
    • Exposure to Application servers (like WildFly and Tomcat).
    • Familiarity with DevOps or desire to learn.
    • Desire to learn containerization using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
