Job Description

Commercial general contracting company seeking to add a PROJECT ACCOUNTANT to their team. They will report directly to the Accounting Manager and play a vital role in the day-to-day accounting operations. The Project Accountant will be responsible for assisting in project setup/budgeting, tracking project costs, acting as liaison between the Project Management and Corporate Management department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Project/Budget/Client/Vendor setup.

· Organize and compile change orders for client, subcontract, and Project Management review.

· Create monthly progress payment applications for submission to the client.

· Review job billing status and accounts receivable aging to ensure timely client/vendor payment.

· Accounts Payable tracking/entry.

· Work with Executive team when called upon.

· Assist with tracking lien waiver(s) for Project Management department.

· Perform project audits.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Two to four years of industry experience in a similar role

· Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional experience.

· Construction Industry experience preferred.

· Experience with using Sage and Procore preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
