Job Description

We are looking for the right candidate to join our TWICO claims team at our corporate office in The Woodlands, Texas. The INSIDE CLAIMS ADJUSTER position is responsible for the investigation, adjustment, and settlement of residential property claims. This position ensures claims, including large and complex claims, are properly investigated and evaluated in accordance with company standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

·         Use Symbility estimating software to produce accurate estimates of covered damage.

·         Determine insurance coverage and extent of company’s liability.

·         Negotiates settlements as needed with insureds, contractors, and public adjusters.

·         Manages diaries and tasks in company claim management system. Effectively manage pending   files in accordance with company best practices.

·         Prepare accurate, thorough, and concise reports and letters on conclusions and recommendations.

·         Maintain thorough notes and time and expense records as required throughout entire claims process.

·         Assign claims and task assignments as needed for inspection to internal and independent adjusters

·         Collaborates with team members to resolve issues and identify appropriate issues for escalation.

·         Review independent adjuster and internal reports and photos to properly prepare recommendations and concluding documentation.

·         Provide excellent customer service to customers and agents through various types of correspondence such as phone and email.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

·         2-5 years of experience adjusting residential or commercial property claims.

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         Active adjuster license in Texas.

·         Strong oral and written communication skills.

·         Strong organizational skills.

·         Strong interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

·         This position is located in our corporate office in The Woodlands, Texas.

·         Attend litigation hearings, examinations under oath, meditations, and training as needed.

·         Must possess a valid driver’s license.

·         Employees must be able to work a minimum of 72 hours per week for catastrophe assignments. Every adjuster shall be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to operate a computer terminal/PC equipment.
