    Job Description

     

    JOB OBJECTIVE:

    Ensure that Company policies and procedures are compliant with federal, state, and local laws and that employment environment is free from all forms of harassment and discrimination.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource needs.

    • Provide support and guidance to staff when complex or sensitive questions and issues arise; resolve employee matters such as providing reasonable accommodations, workplace investigations, employee complaints, corrective actions, and terminations.

    • Oversee corporate hiring process and provide guidance on hiring for field personnel.

    • Coordinate and counsel with leadership to handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

    • Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.

    • Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

    • Responsible for supervising HR/payroll staff.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Spanish) required

    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS/payroll systems.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

    A minimum of five years of human resource management experience required.

    3 years HR leadership experience preferred.

    10 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.

    HR Certification would be a plus.

    Multi-state experience highly desirable
