    Job Description

    Summary of Responsibilities The Compliance Analyst is considered an entry level candidate performing NERC Reliability Standard compliance engagements and is responsible for conducting administrative activities for Texas RE's Compliance Monitoring Program. Texas RE's Compliance Monitoring activities include, but are not limited to the following: audits, spot checks, periodic data submittals, self-certifications, event analysis, complaints and compliance investigations. Additionally, this position serves as an administrative interface with Texas RE's subject matter experts, Registration and Certification, RAPA Group, Standards, Compliance Assessments, Primary Compliance Contacts, other Regional Entities, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). This position prepares and performs engagements to evaluate NERC registered entities for compliance with the NERC Reliability Standards. The Compliance Analyst has significant contact with personnel who manage, operate, plan, and oversee generation, transmission, distribution, and physical/cyber security. The position reports to the Manager, Compliance Monitoring. Essential Job Duties * Plans, supports, and conducts compliance engagements of NERC registered entities. * Excel at providing customer service and administrative support * Support day-to-day operations for specific work groups as assigned * Regularly monitor email, evaluate, and respond to requests * Regularly maintain processing schedules, deadlines, and ensure deliverables are achieved * Develops accurate, concise reports and presentations, as directed, on engagements, activities, findings and needs of the program for Texas RE, NERC registered entities (where applicable) and NERC Adhere to procedures, work instructions, and corporate and NERC style guides * Collaborate with internal staff and registered entities to resolve document discrepancies * Track milestones for reporting purposes * Processes collected data as necessary for risk-based compliance monitoring and assessment. Perform statistical, logical or other mathematical analysis as needed. * Ensures procedures, templates and other risk-based compliance monitoring materials are maintained and up to date, and that staff is aware of any approved changes. * Works independently, productively and follows through on all responsibilities to bring projects to a successful conclusion. * Develops, implements, and maintains internal training for staff * Become a subject matter expert on NERC's Learning Management System (LMS) to support staff and training * Prepare and conduct presentations as needed * Participate in internal meetings, webinars, and workshops * Collaborates with NERC and other Regional Entities through participation in working groups/task forces as assigned. * Communicates expectations and best practices to NERC registered entities through presentations and written communication * Utilizes computer systems to obtain logs, real time information, operational records and other data for performing compliance monitoring activities and informing risk-based compliance processes. * Perform other duties as assigned * Ability to travel up to 30%.
