The Analyst, Portfolio Company Operations (POG) will help drive value creation by providing operational support across TZP's portfolio companies, along with supporting firm initiatives to improve processes and outcomes. This individual will serve trusted advisor to the investment professionals and portfolio company executives. The right candidate will have a significant impact on the portfolio companies' operations and the fund's success.
SPECIFIC RESPONSBILITIES:
Data Analysis: Primary point of contact for development and analysis of data sets used for decision support internally and within portfolio businesses. Analyst will run a variety of data initiatives including pricing, margin variables, KPI predictive measures, etc. Analyst will leverage knowledge of programming and expertise with BI tools to develop data sets, and use information to develop recommendations. _

Project management: Manage projects for specific portfolio-level initiatives such as IT upgrades, human capital initiatives, digital marketing transformation, ESG, and sales pipeline acceleration. Support business diligence and integration activities for new and add-on investments. Oversee activities of TZP recommended consultants and advisors supporting portfolio company strategic initiatives. May participate in portfolio project initiatives.
Procurement and vendor management: Identify value-added service providers and perform vendor due diligence on a case-by-case basis; coordinate preferred partner and global procurement programs across firm and portfolio companies.
Compliance : lead compliance initiatives across portfolio, with project management accountability for functional areas such as DE&I, labor, marketing, technology, and insurance reviews as part of diligence and ongoing annual operational reviews. Support risk management program management (cyber, crisis management, etc.) across portfolios.
Reporting : Lead TZP assessment and tracking of portfolio company strategic initiatives, with a focus on monthly and quarterly reporting of key metrics. Coordinate and attend weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly fund and/or portfolio company calls and updates as primary POG liaison. Leverage data analytics/warehousing tools to aggregate and analyze trends of portfolio company performance and work with the POG, deal teams and/or portfolio companies to proactively drive positive performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 1+ years post undergraduate degree completion, business degree preferred. Experience in consulting (Big Four, Bain, McKinsey, etc.), corporate strategy or finance.
• Hands-on operations experience; preferably has worked directly at or as an operations focused consultant within or in support of an operating company.
• Extremely organized and detailed oriented; good at keeping people and teams on task and schedule.
• Easily establishes rapport and trusted confidence across levels of management.
• Ability to align with and help implement the direction and vision of deal team with respect to portfolio company value creation.
• Preference for an individual with cross-functional experience or exposure: Human Capital, sales, marketing, operations, accounting, IT, finance, M&A
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
