    Job Description

    Tachus LLC (“Tachus”) is seeking an outstanding individual to fill the role of Network Planner to provide engineering design and implementation services necessary to support the company's outside plant by providing design and mapping to maximize the design; compile/review and maintain related project data and support data systems; development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of related data systems. Tachus is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed residential fiber broadband internet provider that has been delivering service to the Greater Houston area since 2018. Because of a relentless focus on outstanding network reliability and customer service, the company enjoys a Net Promoter Score of 91. The Network Planner will be joining a team that brings decades of IT, infrastructure and technology experience with a proven track record of building and growing highly successful businesses.

    THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

    · Create detailed circuit design in OSPInsight and splicing packet documentation

    · Model fiber routes in detail correlated to Google Earth imagery and supplied construction packets

    · Process fiber construction as-builts to include route verification and update required OSPInsight attribute date

    · Process fiber feasibility studies when requested

    · Supply needed documentation during fiber restoration and outage situations

    · Provide necessary circuit information upon request

    · Prepare fiber splicing packets (SPACs) to create splicing documentation circuit between alpha and omega locations

    · Support emergency fiber repairs to include taper reports, identifying priority circuits, and damage location

    · Support workgroups with fiber feasibility studies to include construction requirements and fiber availability information.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    · Experience in an office setting

    · Demonstrated work experience in fiber design and splicing

    · Solid background interacting with utilities and dealing with public access issues and requirements

    · Demonstrated ability to generate plans and system design maps.

    · Hands-on knowledge of OSPInsight software, both desktop client and web

    · Excellent communications skills

    · Ability to effectively relay technical information/concepts verbally and in writing to customers, contractors, utilities and company personnel with varying degrees of technical knowledge

    · Ability to generate and translate information in drawings, blueprints, spreadsheets and as-builts

    · The position requires working independently, as well as part of a team

    · Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

    · Physical activities include, but are not limited to: climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, reaching, standing, walking and lifting up to 30 pounds
