  • Responsibilities

    The Outreach Coordinator’s responsibilities include representing our client  at community events, such as health fairs, organizing media events, helping with fundraising events and coordinating volunteer activities. The Outreach Coordinator will demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with professional Christian ethics.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Handling public relations, such as developing strategic relationships, attending health fairs, and conducting informational presentations at universities, clubs, and civic groups.

    • Developing press releases and help in the development of brochures, and other marketing materials.

    • Developing and maintaining the organization's website as well as social media accounts.

    • Organizing outreach events to promote the services of the organization.

    • Handling outreach to elected officials.

    • Collecting and analyzing data on local demographics, developing results, and presenting the conclusions to the relevant departments.

    • Advertising for, screening, and recruiting volunteers, and coordinate with the Director of

    Administration to provide them with training and support, tracking their performance, and

    keeping records of their activities.

    • Creating activities to supplement and support staff needs.

    • Verifying the volunteers' availability, receiving their feedback, recognizing their efforts, and

    answering their questions.

    • Performing administrative duties as needed, such as answering phones, helping with

    mailings

     

    Job Requirements

    The Outreach Coordination should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and leadership skills. This position requires a strong organizational and management skills. Experience with institutional databases, public access sites, and primary research skills are preferred.

     

    Education and Experience

    An Associate or a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, social services or related field is preferred. Two-three years of employment experience in a non-profit or social service agency is preferred.
