     TITLE: Intake Care Representative LOCATION: Bedford, TX CONTRACT: 11/09/2020 - 12/31/2020 SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

    POSITION WILL START AS REMOTE THEN MOVE ONSITE IN BEDFORD, TX. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE RELIABLE INTERNET CONNECTION AND WILLING TO MOVE ONSITE ONCE REQUESTED.

    ROLE SUMMARY The Care Associate is responsible for providing telephonic support for the Health Services team in all Service Delivery Areas (SDA) across all Medicaid lines of business. Responsibilities will include working with internal clinical and non-clinical staff, and external providers and state employees. This position will be responsible for collecting, documenting, tracking, and/or scheduling various components of the program.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist Health Service clinical staff in processing paperwork and documentation.
    • Outreach to providers, members, HHSC staff via telephone, fax, email, or mail to obtain medical records or other documentation essential to support care to members.
    • Understand various benefit categories and workflows for Texas Medicaid members.
    • Adhere to strict turnaround times set forth by the HHSC and the organization
    • Completes appropriate administrative documentation in members’ electronic medical record, and other company systems.
    • Data entry
    • Proficient knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
    • Professional demeanor and the ability to work effectively within a team or independently
    • Flexible with the ability to shift priorities when required
    • Maintains regular and acceptable attendance determined by the organization
    • Other duties as requested, assigned or necessary

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma required
    • 1-2 years’ experience in a managed care environment strongly preferred
    • Bilingual English/Spanish is required for this position.
    • Good time management, organization, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with health care staff: nurses, physicians, and other health workers.
    • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access, and SharePoint
