Position: Dog Boarding/Daycare Attendant (Large and Small Dogs)

Summary:
As a Boarding/Daycare Attendant, you will be responsible for the care, well-being, and
comfort of the pets entrusted to our facility. You will ensure each dog receives the highest level
of attention, exercise, and ensure facility cleanliness in a safe and loving environment.
Responsibilities:
● Provide daily feeding, exercise, and socialization for dogs under your care.
● Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the boarding and daycare areas, including
regular cleaning of kennels and play areas.
● Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
● Administer medications and special medical care as directed by dog owners.
● Follow established protocols for handling and restraining dogs, ensuring their safety and
the safety of staff.
● Interact with dog owners, providing updates on their pets' well-being and addressing any
special requests.
● Assist in maintaining inventory, ensuring availability of necessary items.
● Provide basic grooming services while in our care.
● Participate in training to enhance knowledge of dog care and safety.
● Provide facility tours, greet, and check in/out dogs and their owners in a friendly and
professional manner.

and Pet Food & Supplies. While your primary role will focus on Daycare and Boarding, we are
all one team and you will occasionally be asked to assist in other departments as needed. Our
main priorities are team safety, pet safety, and delivering outstanding customer service in
every interaction.
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in dog care in a daycare and/or boarding facility, or a related field is
preferred.
● Strong understanding of various dog breeds and behaviors.
● Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
● Excellent customer service and communication skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Physically capable of lifting and carrying dogs and supplies (up to 50 lbs).
● Knowledge of basic dog first aid and CPR is preferred.
● Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and may be asked to work overnights.
