TAKUMI STAMPING, INC. TEXAS PLANT IS SEEKING A QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT MANAGER THAT IS DETAIL ORIENTED, HAS THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE BUSINESS, AND ABLE TO POSITIVELY LEAD THEIR TEAM. 

The suitable candidate will also work collaboratively across a variety of functions and levels within the organization and customer.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages employees performing quality Inspections and technical activities in support of business needs.  
• Implements and ensures effective execution of the Quality Management System through education/coaching.
• Provides information to all departments to execute strategies, plans, policies, and procedures to maintain and improve performance.
•  Assists in the identification and documentation of nonconforming items and failed inspections.
• Implement corrective action plans with customers, as needed.
• Ensure that inspections and documentation are completed per quality requirements.
• Oversee and investigate returned products from customer and in-house defective parts.
• Manage suppliers and internal quality corrective actions.
• Create and implement changes to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Develop and conduct training of department personnel to include safety processes and procedures.
• Develop, review and manage successful departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide strategic guidance to management regarding trends in product quality, failed inspections and customer satisfaction.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, peers, and subordinates
• Manages resources, provides quality system management and lead quality performance.
• Maintain working environment by complying with ISO14001, safety guidelines, procedures and regulations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• High school diploma
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Control.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in Quality Control or Manufacturing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing product, process or compliance audits of Quality Management Systems.
• Math skills, - Basic mathematic skills to ensure accurate measurements.
• Computer skills working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.
• Experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge and use of Quality measurement tools, Toyota Best Practices, Surveillance and Compliance Audits.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.

SHIFT WORK STATEMENT:

Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
