    Job Description

    We are looking for a  Java/Linux technical expert to support our client market desk applications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • realize the development, production, and support of an application (a Java/Swing thick client) for alpha generation and portfolio management (back-testing and trading of quantitative models, position monitoring, P/L and risks, reporting),
      • Understand the user needs and propose solutions
      • Fully implement the solutions, from infrastructure to production release
      • User support
      • Daily production and monitoring of batches, client sessions and database
      • Manage the continuous integration framework
    • execute algorithms (VWAP, PVOL), and index computation and publishing.
    • The perimeter covers many exchange-traded instrument types, with a preponderance of stocks and equity derivatives.
    • interacts daily with users (traders from different desks, structures, MO, etc) and other teams based on various platforms (mostly Paris, London, New York and Hong Kong).
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLSET:

    Very good programming skills, preferably in Java or similar languages

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • DevOps and Continuous Delivery, JUnit, Gradle, Git, quality and profiling tools
    • Linux, Bash scripts
    • SQL (Oracle 12g, PL/SQL)
    • Financial maths, quantitative models - Java Swing

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer
