    Terrestris, LLC is seeking to hire a PART TIME 20 HOURS A WEEK PROTESTANT PARISH COORDINATOr to support the Air Force Chaplain Corps at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington DC. The Protestant Parish administrative functions at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling, working closely with the Protestant Chaplain and Parish to ensure budgets, program schedules, publicity and other required items are developed and implemented.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Must be present for  20 hours each week, to include weekends, in order to be available to support the Protestant Chaplains and parish volunteers with regular availability. Office hours must be coordinated with Chapel Tithes and Offering Fund (CTOF) Contracting Officer in consultation with the designated Protestant Chaplain.
    • Chapel Staff Meeting:  Attendance at chapel staff meetings is highly encouraged, but not required.  If Contractor attendance is required/necessary (e.g., if parish-specific event planning is on the agenda), the request will be coordinated through the CTOF Contracting Officer.
    • Work closely with the CTOF Contracting Officer and provide coordination through the designated Protestant Chaplain for support of the Protestant Program.
    • Follow all JBAB Chapel Operating Instructions (OI), Department of the Air Force Instructions (DAFI), Department of Defense instructions (DODI) and guidance as directed.
    • Assist the designated Protestant Chaplain and Protestant Parish Council in scheduling designated offerings.
    • Assist the designated Protestant Chaplain and Protestant Parish Council in planning and distributing the annual calendar.
    • Maintain and secure a current roster of parish staff/volunteers to include: name, address, phone number, email, status of background check, and other information as needed. Ensure that volunteers receive recognition and support for their work.
    • Solicit for and manage the Protestant Parish volunteers programs.
    • After being trained, gather names and information required for background checks in accordance with AFI 52-101 and DoDI 1402.05 and submit to the appropriate Information Protection point of contact.
    • Ensure all ushers/money counters are properly trained and the money is handled in accordance with DAFIs and Chapel OIs.
    • Plan, coordinate and submit facility, publicity, and other pertinent support and/or purchase requests for all program events and activities.  Ensure that all requests are coordinated with appropriate Chapel staff personnel and that all requests are filled out accurately and in a minimum of 2 weeks prior to all events and activities.
    • Be available on weekends, and Wednesday evenings to coordinate any needs for the Protestant services.  Service times and locations are based on annual needs assessments and are subject to change.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • The preferred candidate shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a position equivalent to that of a Protestant Parish Coordinator.
    • Must have knowledge and experience in the use of computer equipment and Microsoft Office software programs. Must provide a portfolio of Microsoft Office products to demonstrate experience.
    • Must have at least two (2) years of experience developing and utilizing financial budgets for an organization.
    • Must be able to receive clearance from a background investigation IAW Public Law 101- 647, Section 231 (Crime Control Act of 1990 and DODI 1402.5, Criminal History Background Checks on Individuals in Child Care Service Position). An adverse finding from this investigation may result in termination of services.
    • Be able to work in and be fully acquainted with the pluralistic environment of the U.S. Air Force Chaplain Corps.
    • Be qualified to perform the required services with minimal direction.
    • Be positive, self-directed, motivated, and able to interface and communicate well with people.  The contractor must possess the ability to interact constructively with staff and lay volunteers in stressful situations.
