SO, WHAT WILL THE CIVIL/SITE QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER DO?
Our client is seeking a qualified Civil/Site Quality Control Engineer to review project site plans from the civil/site discipline and review plan presentation and CAD standards.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE FOR THE CIVIL/SITE QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER?
You will:
- Assist with conducting QA/QC project reviews on all site plans from the civil/site discipline from all offices
- Review plan presentation and CAD standards within the discipline across all offices and States
- Compile written comments and plan markup for each project regarding constructability, value engineering, and design feasibility
- Provide design alternates and suggestions for consideration when warranted
- Compile and distribute tips and summaries on the observed plan and design issues to increase awareness and provide cross-training between offices
- Compile and share “Lesson Learned” case studies
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU LOOK FOR?
You might be the Civil/Site Quality Control Engineer we're looking for if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with focus on-site engineering and land development
- Design and project management experiences with working technical knowledge in site design, grading, utility layout, stormwater management analysis, erosion control, etc.
- Demonstrate strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Self-motivated in workload management, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability, patience, and willingness to mentor
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
We're extra impressed by folks with:
- A New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to acquire a New Jersey PE through reciprocity within 6 months is preferred
- Multi-disciplinary experience (in geotechnical, utilities, environmental, roadways, water resources, traffic engineering, and construction) is a plus
