    WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE FOR THE TRAINING AND VALIDATION SPECIALIST (PREPARATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT EXPERT) SUPPORT?

    • Provide a Planning and Exercise (PLEX) Specialist who is a SME in Preparation of the Environment (PE) training requirements to include the use of Human Intelligence tactics, techniques, and procedures.
    • Possess an in-depth knowledge of current PE tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) and operational tradecraft.
    • Assist in the planning, development and oversight of training/exercise programs which further refine and develop TTPs for operational employment.
    • Assist with facilitating and planning in support of Course of Action (COA) and Concept of Operation (CONOP) development and subsequent operations on a global scale, as directed by Government.
    • Participate/assist in liaison and planning with governmental agencies and joint commands to advance the development of PE training programs and exercises to delineate technical requirements, and to enhance interoperability.
    • Serve as a SME to higher headquarters.
    • Be knowledgeable of a wide range of technologies/techniques applicable to his assigned tasks.
    • Perform duties in various levels of compartmented security, each with separate policies and procedures.
    • Support decisions made and actions taken, which are made more difficulty by changing international or interagency roles, complex relationships, controversial issues, and national priority missions.
    • Contractors may be required to use signature reduction mechanisms.
    • Be familiar with various electronic devices and software, to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suite tools.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU LOOK FOR?

    • A current TS/SCI security clearance. 
    • 5+ years' experience of worldwide Special Operations support and employment mission requirements.
    • In-depth knowledge of current SOF tactics techniques and procedures.
    • Assist in the planning, development, and oversight of training/exercise programs that support real-world operational rehearsals.
    • Participate in liaison and planning with governmental agencies and joint commands to advance the development of training programs and exercises to delineate technical requirements and to enhance inter-operability.
    • Expert knowledge of Preparation of the Environment Operations as demonstrated via no less than five (5) years of experience within PE Operations, to include Advance Force Operations (AFO), as either a staff officer or operator, and the development and oversight or associated training and exercises.
    • Have knowledge of implementing and employing Air Force and joint deception plans while conducting training and real-world missions. Required to independently conduct research, compile, interpret, and analyze a variety of practical and technical data from a wide range of sources, draw conclusion, and devise practical recommendations for action.
    • The ability to independently conduct research, compile, interpret, and analyze a variety of practical and technical data from a wide range of sources, draw conclusions, and devise practical recommendations for action.
    • A graduate of either the Field Training Course or the Level lll Advanced Special Operations Training (ASOT) course.
