SO, WHAT WILL THE SR. CIVIL/SITE ENGINEER DO?

Our client is seeking a qualified Sr. Civil/Site Engineer to manage a team of Civil/Site Engineers and perform design tasks like conceptual layouts, grading, and drainage, associated with civil engineering projects. The engineer will work with existing office staff/management to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE FOR THE SR. CIVIL/SITE ENGINEER?

You will:

• Perform design tasks, such as conceptual layouts, grading, and drainage, associated with civil engineering projects.
• Work with existing office staff/management to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology.
• Proactively manage relationships with other team members.
• Present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
• Participate in consensus building and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Take corrective action as necessary to ensure the success of assigned tasks.
• Be an active participant in your development along your career path.
• Manage & mentor staff engineers.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU LOOK FOR?

You might be the Sr. Civil/Site Engineer we're looking for if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience.
• A New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to acquire a New Jersey PE through reciprocity within 6 months is required.
• Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations (NJ).
• Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development related designs.
• Demonstrated Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion.
• Ability to interact well with co-workers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
