Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for two Talent Acquisition Specialists to help build and execute a scalable, high-impact recruiting function to support a growing, multi-site manufacturing and industrial organization. This role will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts across hourly and salaried positions, with a strong focus on skilled trades and craft workforce hiring.
This position is not transactional recruiting, it is a strategic role responsible for helping design, build, and continuously improve the company’s talent acquisition strategy, processes, and infrastructure from the ground up.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner closely with operations, site leadership, and Human Resources to ensure workforce needs are met efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on quality of hire and candidate experience.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Own end-to-end recruitment from requisition intake and approvals through offer acceptance and start date readiness
- Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, labor market conditions, and hiring strategy
- Manage requisitions across multiple sites and business units simultaneously
- Ensure a seamless and compliant hiring process aligned with company standards
- Lead high-volume recruiting efforts for skilled trades and craft roles (e.g., welders, fitters, operators, technicians)
- Build and maintain proactive pipelines and “ready-now” candidate benches for critical roles
- Execute hiring strategies aligned with production demands, growth plans, and workforce forecasts
- Partner directly with site leadership to support workforce planning and hiring prioritization
- Help design and implement a scalable talent acquisition strategy, including sourcing channels, workflows, and recruiting KPIs
- Help establish standardized recruiting processes, intake protocols, and service-level expectations
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, aging, quality of hire)
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop multi-channel sourcing strategies including:
- Direct sourcing and networking
- Job boards and digital platforms
- Technical schools, trade programs, and workforce development partners
- Employee referrals and community outreach
- Build relationships with local labor markets and training organizations
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and site leadership
- Provide guidance on market conditions, compensation competitiveness, and candidate availability
- Communicate recruiting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Deliver a high-touch, professional candidate experience
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Support pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screens, and onboarding readiness
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting experience.
Experience:
Required
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for skilled trades / craft workforce
- Proven success supporting high-volume hiring and/or multi-site operations
- Experience building recruiting strategies, pipelines, and processes, not just executing reqs
- Strong knowledge of labor market dynamics in industrial environments
Preferred
- Experience supporting plant start-ups, expansions, or workforce ramp-ups
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking recruiting metrics, reporting, and data analysis
- Experience using job boards and sourcing tools (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn, industry-specific platforms)
