    POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a high-energy, “tech-aware” Talent Acquisition Specialist to serve as the front line of candidate evaluation for our team. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for candidates, responsible for telling our story, assessing alignment, and ensuring only high-quality talent moves forward in our process. You are equal parts brand ambassador and evaluator, someone who can engage top engineering talent while effectively vetting both technical baseline and cultural fit. You will work closely with the Talent Solutions and Delivery teams to maintain a seamless and efficient candidate pipeline, supporting Leading EDJE’s mission of delivering exceptional outcomes to clients. This full-time, salaried position is fully remote, offering flexibility in your work location whether you are based in Columbus or elsewhere. To keep our team connected, this individual should be available to collaborate during our core working hours of 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST. If you are an outstanding skilled talent professional seeking collaboration with an engaging, intelligent, and imaginative team, this could be the perfect career move for you, perhaps even if you weren't actively looking for a new and exciting opportunity.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct structured, high-quality initial interviews for technical and non-technical candidates

    • Evaluate soft skills through situational and behavioral questioning

    • Perform technical “level-setting” to validate baseline experience (languages, frameworks, cloud exposure)

    • Assess alignment with Leading EDJE’s consulting mindset, values, and growth expectations

    • Serve as the first impression of Leading EDJE, clearly articulating our culture, consulting model, and value proposition

    • Build rapport quickly with candidates and create an engaging, high-touch experience

    • Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in the ATS

    • Ensure pipeline visibility, timely updates, and smooth handoffs to recruiters/hiring managers

    • Coordinate interview scheduling and next steps

    • Stay informed on trends in software development (cloud, AI, modern frameworks)

    • Develop enough technical fluency to confidently engage with engineers and ask meaningful questions

    • Other duties as assigned to support talent acquisition and business needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3–5 years of recruiting or candidate screening experience, with a focus on technology roles

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field

    • Strong understanding of core technology concepts (e.g., Java vs. JavaScript, cloud basics, modern dev stacks)

    • Exceptional ability to build trust and guide conversations with both technical and non-technical candidates

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail; ability to manage multiple candidates in a fast-paced environment

    • Comfortable assessing both technical and non-technical candidates for skills and cultural fit.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and online sourcing tools.

    • Experience with Boolean search and other advanced sourcing techniques.

    • Experience evaluating candidates for both remote and in-person roles, including communication, collaboration, and work style.

    • Exposure to technical roles and consulting environments is a plus.
