Job Description
We're hiring a Talent Sourcing & Recruitment Marketing Specialist to drive sourcing and recruitment marketing across both contingency and fractional recruiting engagements and to help build the technology-enabled sourcing engine that keeps us on the cutting edge of finding and engaging great people. This is a hands-on role in which you'll personally source across multiple clients while helping raise the output of the sourcing function as a whole.
You'll work on dedicated client teams alongside Client Managers, Recruiters, and recruiting operations specialists. Your job will be to build, run, and monitor multi-channel outreach campaigns and sequences, tracking responses and effectiveness, adjusting as you go.
Another central goal of this position is to reimagine sourcing as a multi-channel engine that is far less dependent on any single platform. We're looking for someone who brings fresh ideas about how to reach and engage candidates and who is energized by building something better than what exists today.
If you think in systems and workflows, and if you love solving problems, testing what works, and using modern tools and AI to connect with people faster, this role was built for you.
What You'll Do
- Drive qualified candidate flow across multiple clients and positions
- Collaborate with our Client Managers and the Director of Service Delivery to triage the full book of open positions, deciding which searches need outbound sourcing and at what intensity
- Personally source across multiple clients and searches, modeling the standard for the team
- Help design and build a technology-enabled, multi-channel sourcing engine, working with the Managing Principal to evaluate and adopt emerging technology and tools
- Develop repeatable workflows, sourcing strategies, and outreach cadences that multiply the team's output relative to its hours
- Bring a data-driven, test-and-learn approach, tracking what's working across channels, diagnosing what isn't, and continuously improving response and conversion
- Build and run multi-channel outreach that expands our reach, engages prospects faster, and reduces our dependence on any single platform
- Use data-enrichment tools to identify personal contact information — such as personal emails and mobile numbers — so we can engage candidates directly
- Partner with Client Managers and Recruiters to translate client goals and candidate profiles into sharp, effective sourcing strategies
- Provide visibility into early pipeline activity and outreach performance—analyzing new leads, responses to messaging, and other data that helps drive searches meaningfully forward
- Keep our ATS and sourcing data accurate and up to date
- Represent Forrest Johnson Recruiting's values in every interaction with candidates and teammates, as well as in your broader professional presence, including LinkedIn, where your outreach reflects our firm
Who We're Looking For
We care deeply about how our team shows up—with clients, candidates, and each other. The right person for this role will see themselves in the values below, not as ideals, but as expectations.
- Be Excellent. You take pride in doing the work well. You prepare, follow through on commitments, and proactively push updates to your teammates before they have to ask. You believe excellence is built through consistency and attention to detail.
- Treat Others the Way You Want to Be Treated. You approach sourcing with empathy and respect. You treat candidates like people, not resumes, and teammates like partners. You take ownership and respond quickly, because you know trust is built in the small moments.
- Be Transparent. You believe honesty is a gift. You share what's working, what isn't, and what might be uncomfortable to hear — including when something outside of work is affecting how you show up — because that's how good decisions get made and how we support each other.
- Be Accountable. You own your work and your numbers. You stay steady when things get hard, take responsibility for outcomes, and are proactive about solving problems.
- Be Curious. You ask good questions and dig for answers. You want to understand what a search really requires, where the right talent is hiding, and why one channel or message outperforms another. You'd rather test a new tool or approach than assume the old way still works.
- Be Teachable. You bring experience but not ego. You're open to feedback, willing to learn, and comfortable saying "I don't know" when appropriate. You want to keep getting better at your craft.
- Be Redemptive. You handle tension, mistakes, and misalignment with maturity. You look for solutions, not scapegoats, and believe relationships can be strengthened through honest, respectful conversations.
