    Job Summary:

    The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist will coordinate, implement, and manage all EDI file exchanges. Responsibilities will include maintaining the data schema, coordinating all EDI testing and implementations. The EDI Specialist day-to-day responsibilities include onboarding new trading partners, analyzing the data exchanged, identifying and reporting any errors or transaction failures to IT.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead and be the subject matter expert for inbound and outbound EDI transactions
    • Lead customer EDI projects and clarify details to setup customer expectations for a smooth onboarding process.
    • Train internal users on EDI in all areas using EDI, promoting awareness and understanding of best practices.
    • Monitor daily EDI workflow and ensure data and transaction integrity.
    • Monitor and analyze electronic data for accuracy, research and report root cause analysis on errors.
    • Act as a primary point of contact to coordinate with the internal team, EDI system partner, external EDI platform teams, and customer’s EDI and procurement teams.
    • Engage appropriate business and technical resources to drive implementation and remediation projects.
    • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements.
    • Process EDI fulfillment tasks and complete all aspects of daily EDI functions.
    • Communicate with internal and external sales teams in response to customers onboarding requests and expectations. Competencies

    • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; able to effectively present complex information clearly across all audiences including senior-level business leaders and stakeholders.
    • Strong team orientation with ability to work outside of assigned duties.
    • Excellent project and time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
    • Able to work independently in complex and ambiguous environments and situations.
    • BA/BS degree or demonstrate equivalent related work experience preferably dealing with databases, ETL and general data management for at least three years.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience with EDI
    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
    • Comfortable working in an office environment.
    • Able to work independently in complex and ambiguous environments and situations.
    • Ability to engage appropriate business and technical resources to drive implementation and remediation projects.
    • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact professionally and maintain positive working relationships.
    • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; able to effectively present complex information clearly across all audiences including senior-level business leaders and stakeholders.
