    Job Summary:

    The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the definition and implementation of physical and logical flows between the different players in the global supply chain (suppliers, warehouses, carriers, B2B and B2C customers, etc.) across the nation.

    The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager NA is responsible for all logistics operations (internal warehouse and 3PLs). In addition to operational responsibilities, they are a referent within the company on performance improvement methodologies and tools. They implement action plans to reduce costs, lead times and inventories (in liaise with procurement), and to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

    The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager NA is in charge of designing, proposing and organizing logistics strategies in order to ensure the path of a product from production to end customer delivery with a constant concern for optimizing the triptych quality/costs/delays.

    They manage outsourced operations such as 3PL, transport and customs with service providers on the basis of contractual agreements. They are accountable for the implementation and continuous improvement of processes in order to achieve quantitative, qualitative and economic objectives.

    The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager NA reports to the Global Operations & Supply Chain Director (based in France), and their main assignments (non-exhaustive) will be:

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Warehousing (internal warehouse and 3pl)

    - Process definition (goods-in, order picking, storage, added-value services, inventory management)

    - Activity day to day follow up

    - Planification of the activity based on purchasing and sales forecasts

    - Direct report management - Warehouse Manager

    - Identify and implement best practices together with operations and I.T.

    - Propose budget (together with the Site Manager)

    - Define and produce KPI/KPO

    - Accountable for the respect of security and legal aspects

    - Conduct tenders for new 3PL (if necessary)

    - Ability to manage 3PLs

    - Ability to conduct CIP with 3PLs

     

    Inbound transport

    - Anticipates needs and select freight forwarders

    - Conduct tenders and/or spot quotations

    - Set up KPO/KPI

    - Collaborate with Procurement Manager to give visibility on the supply plan to all departments

    - Set up I.T. tools to optimize efficiency

    - Monitor carrier performance (reviews and action plans)

    - Control invoices before submitting to the accounting department

    - Make sure transportation costs are analyzed and tracked

     

    Outbound transport

    - Anticipates needs and select carriers

    - Conduct tenders and/or spot quotations

    - Set up KPO/KPI

    - Support sales team (B2B)

    - Support ecommerce team

    - Search and propose innovating solutions

     

    Customs

    - Support purchase and procurement team

    - Support R&D team if need be during item creation process

    - Maintain accuracy of the HTS & Schedule-B codes

    - Support sales team with any exportation issues

    - Make sure commercial and import documents are available on time and recorded against P.O.

    - Create import and transport documents if necessary

     

    Inventory management

    - Perform monthly stock reconciliations

    - Responsible for the implementation and the good performing of the cycle counts

    - Support the Warehouse Manager in organizing the product storage based on business specificities to improve picking productivity

     

    Process design and continuous improvements

    - Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SIPOC) for logistics and supply chain departments

    - Propose and lead improvement plans (PDCA/Six sigma)

    - Report on performance improvements

    - Maintain the supplier specifications procedure and update vendor manual for R&D team

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager NA must have proven track records in organizing and supervising international warehousing (own and outsourced) and distribution operations.

    The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager NA must possess strong organizational and analytical skills. He must be a leader and problem-solver who can multi-task and pay attention to detail.
