    Job Summary:

    This is a temp to hire opportunity to join a leading aerospace company where you will be maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery with a focus on the Electrical/Electronic components. 

    About the Company:

    Leading aerospace subcontractor engaged in the manufacture and assembly of precision-machined structural aircraft components and assemblies for tolerance critical applications. ASTECH’s customers include both commercial and defense customers’ worldwide.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and electronic components on computer controlled and numeric controlled machinery and systems.
    • Troubleshoots and repairs other equipment such as welding, CNC machines, heat-treating ovens, cranes, mills lathes, x-ray machines, etc.
    • Repairs to board level and may repair to component level.
    • Designs and installs new electrical/electronic circuitry as required.
    • Performs periodic maintenance on electrical/electronic systems on all machines, tooling and associated equipment.
    • Maintains records associated with periodic maintenance.
    • Fills out requisitions to order replacement and spare parts for equipment.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force                                  
    • Prolonged periods of standing
    • Requires repetitive use of hands, fine manual dexterity
    • May require sitting, walking, bending over, crawling, climbing reaching over, crouching kneeling, balancing, grasping and pushing or pulling

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must have PLC experience. Requires 5 years of electronic experience on machine tools in an industrial environment. Must possess electronic theory training and be able to read schematics and technical manuals. Must be able to use electrical test equipment, multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc. Hands on electrical experience. Automated control system experience.
