    Job Description

    We are partnered with an innovative & growing organization to find a dynamic ASSOCIATE PLANNER to join the team!

    The Associate Planner will contribute to the company’s growth by helping the Supply Chain Planning team, whose central goal is to meet customers’ demand and ensure products are readily available. The ideal individual possesses the traits to be a part of a dynamic group, being agile to the fluidity of the finished goods production process, while also seeking constant professional growth.

    CORE JOB DUTIES

    • Demonstrate an understanding of the alignment of demand and supply in regard to finished goods, inclusive of inventory levels awareness

    • Learn and become comfortable with contract manufacturers

    • Grow a relationship with the Procurement Team and understand raw materials and packaging and how they relate to finished goods’ bills of materials

    • Monitor the receipt of weekly contract manufacturers’ reports and learn how to review & assess said reports, with the ability to manage/update any associated spreadsheets and files as needed

    • Assist with following finished goods production schedules and their impact to the master production plan

    • Assist with monitoring finished goods as they complete at contract manufacturers through their clearance and ultimate deployment to 3PL warehouses

    • Learn to make recommendations on adjustments to the production plan in an effort to ensure forecast coverage, maximize best-selling opportunities, and minimize excess

    • Learn to develop and propose solutions to problems in both anticipatory and reactionary situations

    • Perform transactional tasks such as placing/sending purchase orders to contract manufacturers, ensure follow up on order confirmations

    • Become a continuous driver of recommending improvements to daily processes and searching for opportunities to improve efficiencies

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 2+ years of relevant experience working in manufacturing (CPG) is preferred.

    • A college degree in Business, Purchasing or a related field is preferred.

    • Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by (APICS) or other certified institution would be a plus.

    • This job requires intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Suite and ERP Systems General knowledge and prior experience (QuickBooks, Dynamic GP, MAS, SAGE, NetSuite).

    • An understanding of ingredient and packaging procurement, manufacturing, and GMP’s.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

    • Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and commitment to precision and clarity.

    • Relationship-building skills; able to gain respect, credibility, and rapport.

    • Self-directed with a demonstrated sense of accountability.

    • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of a dynamic growth-oriented business.
