    We're excited to be partnered with a rapidly growing organization in the education industry that is seeking a driven early-career HR Coordinator to join their HR department! The HR Coordinator will provide overall HR Dept support and assist with various functions including payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, and office management.     **This is a remote/hybrid role but must be local to San Diego and be open to 10% travel within SoCal. Direct Hire opportunity.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Provides support for all HR initiatives, projects, and employee inquires.
    • Assist with payroll and generates reports; processes required documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
    • Assist with recruitment efforts to include the revision of job descriptions, prescreening, interviewing, drafting offer letters and employment agreements
    • Conducts new employee onboarding and orientations to ensure employees complete required paperwork and begin to develop a better understanding of the company.
    • Oversees employee recognition programs
    • Assist with benefits administration and act as a liaison between the brokers/providers and our employees
    • Assist with people initiatives such as learning and development, performance management, surveys and training.
    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, aptitude exams and certifications.
    • Assist with employee relations issues as needed
    • Help onboard and offboard our third party contractors
    • Oversee office management responsibilities to include: ordering supplies, act as liaison with property manager, ensure cleanliness is maintained and coordinate with our cleaning company when needed, organize events for our SD office
    • Conducts and manages the process for employee educational training such as anti-harassment, HIPAA
    • Responsible for all personnel record management; scans, maintains all Personnel files electronically.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-2+ years of experience in Human Resources or equivalent education
    • Associate’s degree preferred in related field
    • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to employment (i.e., discrimination and harassment, wage and hours, etc.)
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong emotional intelligence and leadership skills
