We are excited to be partnered with an exciting company in the manufacturing industry looking for an incredibly driven and motivated Human Resources Manager who is responsible for effectively leading the Human Resources department. The HR Manager will be a strategic partner on the local management team, helping to create and implement various HR and operational projects while performing Human Resources activities daily.
*This is a direct hire and onsite position (American Canyon, CA)
Core Duties:
Act as a functional resource for employees, ensuring that they are aware of and follow benefits, HR policies, and regulations
Serve as a mentor by planning, organizing, and executing activities that support plant operations
Manage recruitment and staffing activities (for exempt and nonexempt employees) which includes overseeing job advertisements, evaluate applications, and do any mandatory pre-employment screening
Leads and supports all staff engagement, retention, and action planning programs
Identify and implement training solutions for all facility departments
Maintain HRIS and filing systems for employees
Lead disciplinary investigations and advise managers and supervisors on disciplinary recommendations
Oversee the approval process for timecards and paid time off
Manage leave of absence programs, such as FMLA
Assist with various auditing procedures
Ensure that Performance Management Processes are successfully implemented and completed for the entire employee population
Inform employees on the company's health and wellness policy.
Invoicing, classification, and approval of agency, HR, and office management expenses
Lead safety programs as a sponsor and in collaboration with the ES&H manager
Work closely with local leadership to handle employee issues and actively collaborate with managers to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance
Coordinate employee relations activities with the Site Operations Manager to develop and implement local and business-aligned programs that foster effective employee and management relationships
What we’re looking for:
5 to 7 years of Human resources experience (in manufacturing industry in the State of California)
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience
HR (PHR/SHRM) certification is preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
Experience with HRIS systems and computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
Safety advocate with a basic understanding of OSHA standards
Thorough knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations related to human resources; California state knowledge is a must
ADP Workforce Now and Success Factors preferred
Customer service oriented
Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
Possess the ability to positively lead and influence others
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to multitask and manage/drive several projects at the same time
Organized and detail-oriented. Prioritization, decision-making, and follow-up abilities are needed
