    We are partnered with a growing organization seeking an experienced Sr Payroll Specialist. In this role, your responsibilities will include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records.

    This is a direct-hire and onsite position.

    Core Duties:

    • In charge of processing payroll biweekly, including balancing and resolving all payroll data with the Deltek Costpoint ERP system

    • Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns

    • Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations

    • Review employee and contractor time cards ensuring hours are recorded in accordance with company timekeeping rules, the Federal Acquisition Regulations and state/local/federal employment law

    • Verify payroll postings, including entering any exceptions such as overtime, sick time, vacation time, etc

    • Balance all year-end W-2 data, including gross wages, taxes, moving expenses, etc

    • Prepare journal entries as needed, such as void checks, errors, etc

    • Ability to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment

    • Work involves sensitive and confidential information; discretion is essential

    • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

    • Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions

    What we’re looking for:

    • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role

    • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices

    • Experience working with accounting and payroll software specifically ADP, and ERP systems

    • Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills, specifically in Excel

    • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws that pertain to the payment of wages

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
