    We are partnered with a growing and exciting company seeking a dedicated Director of Benefits to join the team! The Director of Benefits will oversee both direct and indirect management of all staff within the Human Resources Benefits division. Responsibilities encompass supervision, such as conducting interviews and training, organizing tasks, assessing performance, administering rewards and discipline, as well as handling complaints and resolving issues.

    *This is a direct hire and onsite position in Coachella, CA.

    Core Duties:

    • Oversees the comprehensive administration of various benefit programs, encompassing Medical, Dental, Vision, COBRA, Life Insurance, Voluntary Supplemental Plans, Employee Assistance Plan, vendor relations, and leave management.

    • Responsible for the strategic oversight of benefits programs, involving the recommendation, implementation, support, and compliance of both new and existing initiatives. This includes plan design selection, annual renewal processes, contract negotiation, and benchmarking.

    • Conducts regular and systematic evaluations and analysis of program outcomes, reporting findings to the VP of Human Resources and the Business Development Committee.

    • Formulates and executes benefit strategies, initiatives, policies, and objectives, coordinating the evaluation of benefit plans, programs, renewals, and changes.

    • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations including Affordable Care Act, ERISA, Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, COBRA, USERRA, HIPAA, and FMLA, managing tasks such as plan documentation, annual 5500 filings, and responses to legal agencies.

    • Collaborates with HRIS support teams to oversee benefit changes, updates, implementations, and system testing, while partnering with Payroll on process enhancements and issue resolution.

    • Oversees all aspects of leave management, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, evaluating and crafting policies related to leaves of absence.

    • Leads the planning, organization, and communication efforts for Open Enrollment, and prepares necessary budgetary data, forecasting annual costs and implementing corrective actions when needed.

    • Stays abreast of industry trends, competitive changes, and local benchmarks, while coordinating and supervising training, assignments, and development of subordinates.

    What we’re looking for:

    • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred (or equivalent experience)

    • Ten years of equivalent experience in a supervisory/management role is required.

    • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

    • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills

    • Thorough attention to detail.
