    We are seeking a dynamic Payroll Manager with a background in payroll management, preferably within the food and beverages industry. Reporting to the Controller/Senior Director of Finance & Administration, this role encompasses overseeing all aspects of multi-state payroll operations along with designated accounting duties.

    Core Duties:

    • Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a bi-weekly basis, including GL posting.

    • Utilize relevant external systems to facilitate payroll cycles.

    • Import data containing various earnings and deductions (e.g., tips, commissions, incentives).

    • Review and address any payroll exceptions before processing.

    • Generate payroll reports for budgetary and audit purposes.

    • Prepare and post designated journal entries for payroll and month-end closing.

    • Conduct monthly reconciliations for all payroll-related accounts.

    • Identify and resolve errors and omissions, implementing corrective journal entries.

    • Collaborate with HR and other departments to enhance payroll processes.

    • Conduct annual reconciliation of W-2 earnings with wage expenses in the general ledger.

    • Oversee annual audits of Workers’ Compensation and 401k.

    • Assist in documenting procedures and controls.

    • Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable across three entities.

    • Investigate and report on inquiries related to vendor payables and customer receivables.

    What we’re looking for:

    • 5+ years of experience in payroll management, including multi-state payrolls, and accounting functions, preferably in the food and beverages industry

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field

    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred

    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

    • Excellent organizational abilities with a capacity to manage projects independently

    • Team player with the ability to handle competing demands and deadlines

    • Adaptability to evolving environments with enthusiasm

    • Proficiency in leading and collaborating with various stakeholders

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English

    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and database management

    • Experience with NetSuite and Paylocity software highly desirable
