    We are partnered with a stable company in the Hawthorne, CA area seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team! As a strategic partner, the Human Resources Manager aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HR manager gives leadership and guidance in the management of human resources, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, and recruitment. In accordance with our vision, mission, and core values, this individual will also ensure that high internal standards for member services are upheld. To do this, they will use a collaborative, courteous, constructive, trust-building, enthusiastic, and hands-on approach.

    *This is a direct hire and onsite position.

    Core Duties:

    • Leads recruitment efforts for designated business units which include orientation and onboarding.

    • Drive staffing and workforce planning efforts for top talent for designated business units.

    • Assess, on an on-going basis, the needs and competencies required to fill upcoming openings; work with resources to ensure workforce planning is aligned with needs.

    • Oversees the human resources team, gives guidance, corporate information, and consistently, promptly, and regularly assesses employee performance.

    • Ensures that the HR department has adequate coverage and backup to ensure that all tasks related to the processing of payroll are completed on time, including but not limited to: preparing time and attendance records for payroll input, processing payroll in ADP, processing biweekly 401k contributions, balancing, and preparing payroll for posting.

    • Provides advice on disciplinary measures, works closely with the leadership team to address employee complaints to ensure prompt resolution. Counsels employees at all levels.

    • Utilizes management and employee coaching strategies well.

    • Builds and maintains business ties with the suitable brokers and business partners.

    • Creates, modifies, and discloses HR department policies and procedures.

    • Keeps the employee handbook current and compliant with laws and regulations.

    • Administers the company's insurance plans, including those for health care, dental care, group life insurance, pensions, and other benefits.

    • Assures the accuracy of the data reflected in our compensation system by developing an efficient compensation administration plan.

    • Suggests adjustments to make sure that the compensation structure supports a work environment where high performers can thrive.

    What we’re looking for:

     

    • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience with at least 3 years of HR management experience.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.

    • Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR or PHR is preferred.

    • Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills.

    • Strong time management skills and ability to handle various tasks.

    • Strong communication skills both in writing and speaking.

    • Has a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Thorough knowledge of applicable HR laws and regulations.
