    We are currently partnered with a growing company in the area of Long Beach, CA and we’re seeking an experienced Total Rewards Manager. The total rewards manager is in charge of the implementation, management, continuous analysis, and evaluation of compensation, benefits, HRIS system administration, and overall HR compliance activities. This role is in charge of ensuring the success of existing compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures, as well as recommending program revisions/enhancements that are consistent with compensation trends and strategic priorities objectives.

    Core Duties:

    • Ensure that benefit programs are competitive, cost-effective, and satisfy the needs of employees.

    • Analyze, create, and manage benefit programs (health and welfare, retirement, paid time off, and leave programs) to suit the demands of our expanding global team.

    • Prepare announcement materials, plan summary documents, and other media to communicate plans to employees after new plans or changes to current plans have been approved.

    • Manage insurance brokers, and other administrative agencies outside the company to implement changes in benefits programs.

    • Create a benefits and wellness education program that is both new and engaging, and that endures beyond the open enrollment time.

    • Lead the merit process with executives across the organization; prepare managers for planning and budgeting; and provide budget facts.

    • Participate in the creation and implementation of strong equity programs, overseeing the program from inception to education to administration.

    • Manage benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick and courteous resolution.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field preferred but not required.

    • 5+ years of human resources experience including 2 years of experience in benefits administration and compensation.

    • In-depth knowledge of all health and welfare benefits and associated processes, procedures, and regulations.

    • Experience designing and administering compensation and benefits in a publicly-traded organization is preferred.

    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, while maintaining empathy and a people-first solutions mindset.

    • Extensive knowledge of compensation principles and concepts, as well as compensation analysis and consultancy, including market pricing, comp plan structure/design, job evaluation, and grading.

    • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees; demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management and is viewed as a positive leader.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; time management skills with a proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and delegate tasks when appropriate.
