    We are thrilled to be collaborating with an exciting & growing company in its search for a dynamic HR & Payroll Representative. Under direct supervision, the HR & Payroll Representative will perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of the human resources (HR) department. Assists in administering HR policies and procedures. Collects and maintains HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc., and generates ideas for process improvement. Answers basic associate questions related to HR policies or offerings. May conduct pre-employment screening interviews. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.

    *This is a direct-hire opportunity. Location in Irvine (in-office).

    Core Duties:

    • Assist with the recruitment process by advertising job vacancies, scheduling interviews, posting positions on a career site and an internal bulletin board, maintaining application tracking, and other associated recordkeeping and documentation
    • Administrative support for the Manager/Supervisor, HR, and the HR staff in a wide range of HR/PR operations
    • Answer and study standard HR/public relations questions in order to interpret and execute policies or procedures
    • Assist the workers' compensation administrator with the administration of existing claims and case files. May be required to prepare Cal OSHA reports and other related records
    • Assist in the automated payroll system to produce accurate and timely payroll
    • Assist in the maintenance and organization of labor collection, either by paper or electronic time keeping
    • Assist in the development and delivery of annual timekeeping training
    • Reconcile payroll deductions and respond to any PR-related queries
    • Assist the Human Resources Manager/Supervisor in the implementation of company activities, employee functions, and other welfare health/wellness related events
    • Keep corporate newsletters up to date, including regulatory/compliance postings
    • Maintain documentation for Records Retention
    • May act as a backup Receptionist in the case that the assigned back-ups are unavailable
    • Other responsibilities may be assigned or requested

    What we’re looking for:

    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 3-4+ years related HR experience and payroll processing experience required
    • Must be familiar with traditional HR principles, practices, and processes, as well as wage and labor law and relevant regulatory compliance needs
    • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
    • Professional certification is a plus
    • Strong emotional intelligence
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and excellent interpersonal skills
