    We are excited to be partnered with a stable & growing company in the San Fernando, CA area and we are currently looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join their experienced Human Resources department! The HR Specialist will perform human resources management, employee relations, and will provide administration and coordination to HR disciplines and initiatives.

    **This is a direct hire/permanent position.

    Core Duties:

    • Take ownership of and administer on-boarding and off-boarding process.

    • Conduct new hire orientation and other trainings as assigned.

    • Prepares, processes, reviews, analyzes, or approves transactions; ensures compliance with applicable laws and rules concerning appointments, promotions, demotions, transfers, separations and other actions.

    • Regular review of employee handbook and HR policies to ensure accuracy and appropriate items are covered.

    • Administer Immigration processing (paperwork processing and ensure necessary communication is disseminated appropriately and timely).

    • Administer Leaves of Absences (processing, communication, tracking, etc.).

    • Administer annual bonus and COLA administration and processing.

    • Administer Workers Comp program.

    • Administer I-9 process, ensure compliance with E-Verify.

    • Provides guidance to employees and external applicants on various HR information systems and processes.

    • Administer compliance tracking–ensuring adherence to state and federal laws and regulations (annual reporting –EEOC, testing, etc.).

    • Maintain and update employee files.

    • Assist with Benefit Administration (billing reconciliation, COBRA, general knowledge of 401k and ESOP)

    • Disseminate accurate and pertinent information to employees regarding all HR policies and issues.

    • Administer I-9 process, ensure compliance with E-Verify.

    • Manages the routine audit of various HR systems to ensure accurate record keeping and data entry.

    • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

    What we’re looking for:

    • At least 3-5 years of HR as a Specialist or Generalist experience.

    • A Bachelor's Degree is a plus.

    • Advanced MS Office skills.

    • Ability to build strong relationships. Confident and professional demeanor.

    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.

    • Excellent customer service skills.

    • Ability to multitask; versatile.
