We are excited to be partnered with an exciting & rapidly growing manufacturing company in Santa Ana, CA area! The Human Resources Manager / Office Manager is in charge of all employee-related issues. This means that your HR manager duties will involve managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance and talent management.
*This is a direct-hire and onsite position.
Core Duties
Human Resources:
- Administer applicant background checks, pre-employment processes, and conduct new hire orientations.
- Handle investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts. Assist in mentoring, counseling, and termination processes.
- Work with top management to develop, change and/or implement personnel policies and procedures.
- Manage talent acquisition process including collaboration with contingent workforce agencies, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, and onboarding, using required documentation (e.g., I-9, application).
- Keep job descriptions up to date, accurate, and compliant with relevant federal, state, and local laws.
- Support goals of top management. Adheres to confidentiality standards.
- Documents and monitor PTO; ensure management approval of PTO.
- Ensure accurate processing of payroll; responsible to be familiar with wage garnishment processes and various voluntary deductions.
- Maintain time and attendance databases.
- Understand and keep current with IRS changes/rules as they relate to payroll, deductions, and W-2 processing.
- Update compensation changes as necessary.
- Collaborate with ADP Totalsource in regards to employee benefits (e.g., PTO, health insurance); plan and carry out open enrollment activities.
- Develop and maintain a training and performance review program that ensures employees are familiar with their job responsibilities, as well as relevant legal and safety requirements.
- Assist managers and superintendents with performance reviews.
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Responsible to prepare injury reports, filing claims, and tracking employee injuries.
- Responsible for the Safety Program with knowledge of OSHA requirements.
- Review and maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as new hires, benefits, attendance, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Create, maintain, and update employees’ paper files along with electronic records.
- Create and implement COVID-19 prevention programs, as well as manage COVID-19 situations.
Office Manager:
- Manage HR Clerk, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable Clerks.
- Process payroll bi-weekly (use ADP)
- Responsible for security system and keys at office location.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of office equipment (e.g., copier), including landline telephone system.
- Other duties as assigned, but not specifically outlined in this job description.
- Oversee year end functions to ensure Syteline and customer files are properly transitioned to new year.
- Ensure office supply inventory process runs efficiently.
What we're looking for:
- At least 5 yrs of related work experience (HR/Office Manager).
- Must come from the Manufacturing Industry.
- Bachelor's Degree or HR Certificate is a plus.
- Payroll processing experience.
- Good Communication Skills, Both Verbal and Written.
- Appropriate Mathematical Skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Keen Attention to Detail.
- Exceptional Organization Skills.
