    We are partnered with a growing organization seeking a passionate Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will contribute to the improvement of our employees' morale. Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing support of the HR Department, including the HRIS database, answering employee inquiries, responding to unemployment claims, and running and interpreting reports.

    **This is a direct hire and hybrid opportunity (2-3 days in office).

    Core Duties:

    • Responsible for new hire orientation to ensure employees understand business policies, benefits, and philosophy

    • Coordinates and tracks new hire paperwork and compliance paperwork

    • Assists with payroll prep and assists with payroll as needed

    • Enters and processes all associates changes (wage increases, title changes, terminations, promotions, department transfers, address changes, etc.)

    • Ensures that human resources files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures

    • Responsible for new hire set-up in payroll

    • Researches and responds to associate inquiries in a timely manner

    • Completes employment verifications in a timely manner

    • Researches and responds to unemployment claims

    • Assists with special projects as needed

    • Performs all duties in accordance with all company guidelines and applicable federal, state and local regulations

    • Handles Employee records maintenance, filing and updating both on paper and in the HRIS system

    • Respects confidentiality, establishes trust, and credibility to create a positive work atmosphere

    • Assists with handling benefits administration to include assisting employees with the completion of enrollment in benefit plans, accessing services/benefits

    • Assists with other tasks as required

    What we’re looking for:

    • 2-3 years Human Resources experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is a plus but not required

    • Bilingual in Spanish (speak, read and write)

    • Knowledge of basic HR laws and regulations

    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills

    • A team player with a professional demeanor

    • Must exhibit sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential matters

    • Able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, flexible and able to prioritize

    • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact with associates at all levels

    • Process-oriented with demonstrated ability to identify efficiencies

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Experience with HRIS strongly preferred

    • Strong intellectual curiosity with the ability to learn and grow into other areas

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS knowledge preferred

    • Must communicate effectively and positively with employees and all levels of management
